Drystone Conversions. A workshop on the Danish coast. A century on, still in the same town.
Here's the promise: every kit we ship comes with a direct phone line to the workshop. Not a ticket system. Not a chatbot. A person who built the same kit and can tell you exactly where the wiring loom clips behind the bulkhead.
We started in 2011 because we couldn't find a conversion kit we'd actually trust in a van we planned to live out of for weeks at a time. So we made our own. The first run was eleven kits, sold to people we knew. By year three we had a proper workshop, a waiting list, and a returns rate so low we stopped tracking it as a metric.
Today there are nine of us. We work from a 600 m² workshop and we ship to customers across Europe. The kit panels are CNC-cut from 18 mm birch ply — not MDF, not composite board. The aluminium extrusions are anodised in-house. Wiring looms are hand-assembled and labelled in three languages. Everything is specced to fit a standard high-roof Transit or Sprinter without modification, though we do bespoke runs for other bases twice a year.
What we don't do: we don't sell off-the-shelf kits without a conversation first. Every order starts with a brief call to confirm the van model, build year, and what you actually need. That takes fifteen minutes and saves everyone three weeks of back-and-forth.
Be part of a community of builders who've trusted these kits since 2011 — men who measure twice, read the full spec sheet, and want to get it right the first time.

Built to go. Not to impress a showroom.
We design kits that fit real vans, cut clean, and go together without a second pair of hands. Take the next step — join the community of builders who've been doing this with us since 2014.
